Searchbug is one of the few competitors with a real CSV upload UI. The catch is per-row pricing - and Searchbug bills you for blank rows and duplicates. Phone List Cleaner is prepaid by credits, dedup before billing, malformed rows free.

Pick the tool that fits the job. If Searchbug is the better answer, we'll say it.
- You're doing skip-trace - finding a current phone number from a name + address. That's a different product, and Searchbug is good at it.
- You need identity match (verifying a name belongs to a number) or DNC / TCPA flags for a compliance workflow.
- You're a private investigator, debt collector, or licensed user with bulk identity lookups as the primary need.
- Your list has duplicates (every list does). We won't bill them. Searchbug will.
- Your list has blank rows or malformed entries from a messy export. Free here. Billed there.
- Your job is 'clean this list before I send SMS / dial' - not skip-trace. Per-row pricing for a yes/no decision is a bad fit.
- Your buyer wants a published price, not a calculator that returns a number after submitting a list.
- You want a sms_ready_only.csv ready to upload to your SMS tool.

Why does Searchbug charge for blank rows?
Searchbug's bulk validator processes whatever you upload row-by-row and bills accordingly - this is documented on their bulk validator page. Our model assumes your CSV will be messy (it always is) and treats malformed and duplicate rows as zero-cost.
What about DNC / TCPA - do you flag those numbers?
Not in the MVP. We focus on list cleaning for SMS readiness and call readiness. If TCPA / DNC scrubbing is a hard requirement, Searchbug or a compliance-focused tool (Real Phone Validation, Contact Center Compliance) is the right choice.
Are you faster than Searchbug for big batches?
Batch processing is asynchronous; both services queue. Our async pipeline is sized for 250,000-row jobs with progress tracking and downloadable results in minutes for typical sizes. Real-world timing depends on upstream provider latency.
Can I sample before paying?
Yes - drop a CSV, see the row-count estimate and required credits before processing. Format-only validation (libphonenumber) is free before signup.
Will I get refunds on rows that hard-fail?
Yes - provider failures auto-refund the credit. The pricing page lists the refund policy.
